- “We delivered a damn smash,” said Kosine. “Everybody’s getting caught up in the fact that it is Rihanna, it is Chris, it’s a duet, but don’t lose sight of the fact that before Chris hits and does the extended version of ‘Birthday Cake,’ we had a minute and some change of a record that the world was saying, ‘We need this.’”

@Rihanna Jonathan Ross rehearsal …. Talk that talk to me yeah!!!
Rihanna was at the rehearsal for the upcoming Jonathan Ross show in London today. Last time she visited the hilarious Ross was back in 2009, and we can’t wait to see this interview!
We Found Love
This weekend Chris Brown was spotted partying at a nightclub in Orlando. When Rihanna’s smash hit ‘We Found Love’ came on, he sang along and danced on the main stage.
Rihanna Fans Handed Court Fine For Playing The Star’s Songs Too Loudly
“We accept we were playing the music but I don’t think we played it that loud. We don’t get on that great with the neighbours next door so I think it has more to do with that, the neighbours on the other side didn’t mind,” said Sean Brough, who apparently played Rihanna’s music too loud.
“For a moment, in court, we thought it was going to go our way – but then we ended up with this massive fine. More than anything we’d like to see Rihanna live but we’ll never afford it now,” he admitted.
- Rihanna has been talking about blowing up aliens in her first movie role. In Battleship, she plays Petty Officer Raikes — a weapons specialist who gets a thrill from firing heavy artillery. And the singer admitted she enjoyed working with guns almost as much as her character.
Rihanna said: “The one on the boat was so powerful, on the ribs, every time, ugh, I remember.
“I would come back to the set with black gunpowder everywhere — it was crazy. But it was so much fun. I loved it, every moment. I loved feeling it in my chest.”
Rihanna has history with the military. She joined the army cadets as a youngster in Barbados — and not because of the boys. She said: “I just wanted to join an organisation. I didn’t want to be at school for school work, that was boring. Everything else was kind of not my thing, so I joined the cadets. They had weapons. I wasn’t into boys then.”
Rihanna has worn some pretty uncomfortable outfits on stage during her career, so her Navy clobber in the movie provided some light relief. Rihanna said: “I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really did.
- Producer The Dream, writer of “Birthday Cake”, spoke to MTV about the conversation he had with Rihanna when she first introduced the idea of bringing Chris Brown on “Birthday Cake” the remix.
“I think I’m gonna put Chris on it,” he recalls, to which he responded: “I don’t know which Chris you talkin’ about, [but] OK, cool, whatever you say.”
“She’s pretty smart too. The same questions that went through my mind, and I’m an artist also, had to have gone through hers. When she raised the question to me, I know she’s not crazy. So my thought was you’ve been thinking about this, you’ve already thought it out, so evidently you know what reaction you gonna get.”
“At the end of the day, she’s my friend, so whatever she wants to do is whatever she wants to do.
Dream added about the 09 incident: “Don’t say you know how to forgive when you don’t. Everybody knows what took place, cool. Have the power to really forgive if that’s what it is, if not stay on that side of the fence from the beginning.
“It’s easy to kinda throw Chris under the bus all the time, but c’mon, man. OK, we get it.”
- Chase & Status have revealed that they could feature on Rihanna’s seventh album. The duo said that they recently met up with the star to discuss producing songs for her next studio LP.
“She’s always looking to write on interesting sides of music. It’s just finding the time really, we’re still artists as well as producers.”
He added: “We’re currently trying to get album three finished. We love what she does and any chance we’ll get, we’ll take!”
Chase & Status previously collaborated with Rihanna on 2009’s Rated R and her latest record Talk That Talk.
