The new title, Boogie Superstar, will allow girls across the world to perform today’s popular music and become a virtual star.

EA announced yesterday that the singing and dancing Wii title Boogie is going to receive a sequel: Boogie Superstar. Unlike the original Boogie, Superstar is aimed squarely at girls and will feature more current music as opposed to a mix of current and classic songs.

Boogie Superstar is set to feature over 40 songs from artists such as Rihanna, Fergie, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Leona Lewis, Alicia Keys, Good Charlotte, Britney Spears, and Kanye West. International versions of the game will feature another 30 songs from popular local artists such as Melissa M from France, Monrose from Germany, Finley from Italy, and Fito y Fitipaldis from Spain. Similar to the first Boogie game, players will sing and dance to the included songs and are scored based on performance without any rigid rules.

Players will be able to create their own on-screen superstar with the player creation mode as well as play with up to 3 other friends.

Boogie Superstar will be available for the Wii this October in both Euope and North America.
