While warring superheroes are the name of the game this year, Luc Besson’s sci-fi adventure Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets has gone lightly unnoticed, despite the director’s fairly open sharing of behind-the-scenes photos and stunt shots. The story is inspired by the Valerian and Laureling sic-fi comic book series created by writer Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières, which follows two spacio-temporal (time-travelling) agents across a galaxy’s worth of adventures – and is said to have partially inspired epic film sagas such as Star Wars.

During the MTV Movie Awards pre-show, actress Cara Delevingne introduced an all-new behind-the-scenes segment with MTV host Josh Horowitz, who visited Paris a little while ago to try and scoop new details on the film. Along with insight from the film’s actors and Besson himself, Horowitz is subjected to the unpredictability of Cara Delevingne, and it’s hilarious to watch.

DeHaan and Delevingne were all smiles about the movie itself, but when confronted about Rihanna, their mouths remained completely shut. “Let’s just sat that I had a really cool first couple weeks on set … and Rihanna was involved,” said DeHaan, playing coy on what part the singer was playing in the film. Delevingne was even quieter about it, pretending not to hear a question before saying that the singer is “phenomenal.”
