Rihanna will perform at The BRITs 2016, returning to the show for the fourth time in her career.

The global pop superstar will make her first BRITs performance since 2012 when she wowed the audience with ‘We Found Love’.

Rihanna first performed at the ceremony in 2008 with a rendition of ‘Umbrella’ alongside The Klaxons. She also boasts six BRITs nominations and two BRIT Award wins, both for International Female Solo Artist.

This announcement follows the surprise release of her eighth studio album, ‘ANTI’, last week, which has already gone platinum in the UK and has hit the top of the iTunes chart in 30 countries so far. The lead single from the album, ‘Work’, was No. 1 in a massive 90 countries following its release. Rihanna has also announced a UK stadium tour in June 2016.

Rihanna joins Adele, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Jess Glynne, James Bay, The Weeknd and Little Mix on the brilliant bill for The BRITs 2016.

The BRIT Awards 2016 with MasterCard will take place on Wednesday 24 February 2016 at London’s O2 Arena and will be broadcast live on ITV. Ant & Dec will return as hosts.
